Tarantino on Charlie Rose
Many great film directors, while good at their craft, are not very good at talking. (Ever heard Sean Penn get interviewed? My advice: don’t.) Quentin Tarantino is not one of those directors. He is extremely eloquent and, while he always speaks at a hundred miles per hour, he never fails to make his ideas crystal clear. This is why it’s such a treat to listen to his now-customary interview with Charlie Rose, which he does every time he makes a new movie. On this one, recorded on August ‘09, they discuss Inglorious Basterds and everything from the film writing process to his disdain of biopics. Great stuff.
